About the event
Something extraordinary is happening on September 21st, and you will not want to miss it.
The History Salon is returning, and this time we are gathering at Tudor Place Historic House and Garden in Georgetown. Our group will have rare access to the Dower House, a stunning Victorian tucked within the Tudor Place grounds that is not open to the general public.
Built around 1868 with pointed Gothic windows and richly carved period details, the Dower House served for decades as the private residence of the last member of the Peter family to live on the property. Today it functions as the Tudor Place Foundation's headquarters, and almost no one gets inside. On September 21st, we do.
That alone would be worth the afternoon. But there is more.
