Dupont Circle has a long and storied history, as well as a wide variety of architectural styles from Italianate to Romanesque Revival, and grand, luxurious mansions to cleverly repurposed carriage houses. Come on this walking tour that spans five blocks of Q Street yet is packed with the hidden history of Washington. On this two-hour tour, we will identify the variety of architectural styles, learn about some of the historic architects, see a prominent LGBTQ landmark, explore a back alley that leads to an amazing carriage house, see the cause of DC’s height restriction and so much more.
